Draft — pending legal review

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 23, 2026

This is a neutral, draft template describing how iqseason handles your information. It has not yet been reviewed by counsel and should not be treated as final legal terms.

What we collect

When you request a quote, book a job, or use the maintenance checklist, we collect the information you provide directly — typically your name, email address, phone number, and property address, together with the details of the property and the work you describe. When you pay for a job, our payment processor collects your card details directly; we receive only the outcome of the payment and the last four digits of the card, never the full card number. We also collect basic technical data (page views, device type) through Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics tool that does not use cookies or track individuals across sites.

How we use it

We use your information to generate quotes, dispatch work to a contractor, take and settle payment, deliver checklist recommendations, respond to inquiries, and improve the service. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

What we share with contractors

Work is performed by independent local contractors. To offer a job to a contractor and to let them carry it out, we pass on your first name, your property address, your phone number, and the details of the job. Contractors receive this to do the work you asked for; they are not permitted to use it to market to you separately, and a contractor who declines an offer does not keep the details.

Service providers

We rely on third-party providers to operate iqseason: Beget (hosting and transactional email), Supabase (database, authentication, and storage), Stripe (card payments and payouts to contractors), and Twilio (SMS and voice notifications). These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually limited to the purposes we authorize. Stripe also acts on its own behalf as a payment institution and handles card data under its own terms.

Text messages and calls

When you give us your phone number to request or book a job, we use it to send you messages about that job — offer status, contractor assignment, arrival, and completion — and, if needed, to call you about it. These are service messages, not marketing. You can stop them at any time by replying STOP to any message or by writing to us; stopping them may mean we can no longer keep you informed about work already scheduled. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply.

Cookies and sessions

The public pages set no advertising or tracking cookies. If you sign in — as a customer or as a contractor — we set a session cookie that keeps you signed in; it is strictly necessary for the account area to work and cannot be turned off while you remain signed in. Signing out removes it.

Data retention & deletion

We retain your information for as long as needed to provide the service, and afterwards only where the law requires it — records tied to a payment, for example, are kept for the period tax and accounting rules demand. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us using the details below; we will act on verified requests within a reasonable timeframe and will tell you if anything must be kept and why.

Your choices and rights

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have these rights by statute — Massachusetts residents and residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws among them. We do not charge for a request, we do not treat you differently for making one, and we will verify who you are before we act on it. Write to us using the contact details below.

Children

iqseason is intended for property owners and residents aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will change the date at the top of this page. Material changes — a new category of data, a new recipient, a new purpose — will be flagged on the page rather than made silently.
