Draft — pending legal review

Terms of Service

Last updated: August 23, 2026

This is a neutral, draft template describing the terms of using iqseason. It has not yet been reviewed by counsel and should not be treated as final legal terms.

The service

iqseason provides instant quote estimates and maintenance checklists for Boston-area homeowners across a set of connected home-service brands (leaf removal, mowing, hedges, gutters, snow removal, pressure washing). Quotes are estimates and may be adjusted after an on-site review by the servicing contractor.

Your account & information

You agree to provide accurate information (name, contact details, property address) when requesting a quote or using the checklist feature. You are responsible for keeping this information current.

Contractors & third-party services

Services are fulfilled by independent local contractors, each onboarded individually. iqseason facilitates the connection, the quote, and the payment, but is not the party performing on-site work and is not the employer of the contractor, unless explicitly stated otherwise for a given service. A contractor sets their own schedule and methods; disputes about how work was performed are resolved between you and the contractor, with our help where we can give it.

Prices, payment, and our fee

The price you see for a job is the price you pay — it already includes everything the contractor charges and what we keep. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we do not hold your card details. We retain a platform fee of 15% of the job price and pass the remainder to the contractor after the work is marked complete. Some services carry surcharges disclosed before you confirm — an express slot, for example. Taxes, where they apply, are shown before you confirm.

Scheduling, cancellation, and refunds for work

You may cancel a booked job before the contractor is on site at no charge, and we refund anything already taken. Once work has started, we settle for the part performed. If the work was not done, was not done as described, or the contractor did not appear, tell us — we review the case, and where the complaint holds we refund you and recover from the contractor, not from you. Weather-dependent services (snow, leaves) may be rescheduled rather than cancelled; you may decline a reschedule and take a refund instead.

Property reports — refunds

A property report is an instant digital product. Before you download it, you may cancel the order and receive a full refund. After download, a refund is considered on the merits of the complaint — an error in the data, or a report whose contents do not match what was described before purchase — and each request is reviewed by a person, not by an automatic rule.

Property reports — how the data is used

A report describes a property, not a person. It may not be used to decide whether to rent to someone, to extend credit, to employ, to insure, or for any other purpose covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. We are not a consumer reporting agency and a report is not a consumer report. A report is also not an appraisal, not an engineering opinion, and not legal advice.

Data sources & attribution

Reports are built from public records: MassGIS (Bureau of Geographic Information, Commonwealth of Massachusetts); the Registry of Deeds of the relevant county; Analyze Boston (City of Boston); the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection; the FEMA National Flood Hazard Layer; and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Street-level imagery comes from Mapillary under the CC-BY-SA licence, credited to its authors. Every figure carries the source and the date that source publishes it for; government datasets update on different delays, and a report reflects the state of its sources on the build date printed on the cover.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service — including submitting false property information, attempting to access admin or contractor-only areas without authorization, or interfering with the normal operation of the site.

What we do not promise

The site is provided as it is. An instant quote is produced from the details you give us and from public data about the property, and we stand behind that number: it is the price you pay for the property and the service you described, and we do not raise it after the fact. It changes only when the property or the work turns out to differ from what was described — for example the lot is larger than public data shows, or the crew cannot get access. In that case the pro tells you the new price before starting and you may decline at no cost. A quote is not a promise that a contractor will be available on the date you want. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we do not warrant the work of an independent contractor beyond what is written in these terms.

Limit of our liability

Where the law allows us to limit it, our liability to you for any claim connected with the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the job or report the claim concerns. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — lost income, lost opportunity, or damage that was not a foreseeable result of what went wrong. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for personal injury caused by negligence.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or close an account that submits false information, attempts unauthorized access, abuses contractors or staff, or charges back a payment for work that was performed. Where we close an account, we tell you why, and anything you have already paid for and not received is refunded.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and any dispute belongs to the state or federal courts sitting in Massachusetts. Before going to court, write to us — most complaints are settled faster that way, and we answer every one.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top of this page shows the current version. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
